Who is going to pay the mortgage if something happens to you?

Mortgage Protection Insurance covers you if any of these events happened to you, so you don't have to worry about how your mortgage is going to be paid.

What if I: 

  • die or become terminally ill?
  • am disabled from work due to illness or injury?
  • am totally and permanently disabled?
  • suffer a critical condition such as cancer, heart attack or stroke?
  • am made redundant from my job?

There are 6 components to Mortgage Protection which can be tailored to fit your individual needs and budget:

Life Cover – to pay the mortgage if you die or become terminally ill.

Trauma Cover – to pay the mortgage if you suffer a critical illness.

Total & Permanent Disability Cover – to pay the your mortgage if you become totally & permanently disabled and unable to work.

Mortgage Repayment Cover – to pay your mortgage payments when on ACC, Sickness Benefit etc and unable to work

Redundancy Cover – to pay the mortgage payments if you are made redundant from your PAYE position - generally this is paid to you for only 6 months although some providers may pay your payments for up to 12 months.

Waiver of Premium – to pay the insurance premium when on claim, ACC or sickness benefit.
